Every footnote on know.crpg.id begins with a letter that says what kind of source it cites, so a reader can see at a glance how a statement is supported.
| Mark | Source | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| [P] | a primary document: the instrument itself, cited to its Pasal, or an official record such as JDIH BPK or the Constitutional Court | what a law provides; dates; identity |
| [E] | an external publication, most often a post on crpg.id | that something was reported, announced or analysed, and context |
| [V] | a CRPG research note | findings of CRPG's own research, attributed to it |
| [I] | interview evidence, cited by speaker code only | findings from fieldwork |
What a law provides is cited to the law. A post on crpg.id reports a development and is cited for that report; it is never the authority for what an instrument says. Most crpg.id tracker posts declare that they are generated with AI assistance, and know.crpg.id's articles are rewritten from the primary text rather than copied from them.
The dates in an infobox are read from the instrument's closing formula (Ditetapkan and Diundangkan). Whether an instrument is still in force is stated only after the amending or revoking instrument has itself been read.
Each article lists the official source first, then every crpg.id post that reported on the subject. Links are checked monthly.
