Peraturan Presiden 22/2017 (Peraturan Presiden Nomor 22 Tahun 2017 tentang Rencana Umum Energi Nasional) is the Indonesian presidential regulation that adopted the national general energy plan (Rencana Umum Energi Nasional, RUEN), the central government's cross-sectoral plan for energy management to 2050. Background

It is also a guideline for the strategic plans of ministries and agencies, for provinces in preparing their RUED-P, for cross-sectoral energy planning, and for public participation in energy development.[6:1] The National Energy Council and the ministry responsible for energy disseminate the plan and guide the preparation of provincial plans (Pasal 4). The council supervises implementation of the RUEN and of cross-sectoral energy policy, reports the results to its chair or plenary session, and monitors follow-up to its recommendations (Pasal 5). The plan may be reviewed every five years, or at any time if the national energy policy changes fundamentally or the strategic environment changes, by decision of the council's plenary session (Pasal 6).[6:2]
